his initial is unclearly written on the ms, it may have been J. and possibly a different spelling of the same name like Iacomo/Jacomo, Albarti is an old spelling of Alberti (1721 the surname appeared in latin on mss as 'Albarti sive Alberti' and 'Albarti seu Alberti'), he was active in England where he was known as Albert of Venice, his pavan is based on the pavane Belle qui tiens ma vie (1588) by Thoinot Arbeau (France, Dijon 17.mar.1520-23.jul.1595 Langres)
